Predesigned has the clothing patterns digitally, this has a big advantage. Finally, a clothing sample or clothing sample is made in the preliminary work. These first fitting samples are always made to see if the design has been properly adopted in the patterns. It is also a check whether what was conceived in the designs also really comes out well in an actual garment, if this has not already become clear from the digital 3D visualizations. The big advantage of Predesigned is that all the preliminary work has already been done. What is this preliminary work? And what needs to be done to translate your own design into a garment?
Before a garment can be made, ideas need to be worked out into designs. These designs are used for the clothing patterns, see point 2 for the clothing patterns.
What do the designs consist of? This varies greatly. Designs can consist of; sketches, drawings, technical drawings, mood boards or existing garments from which parts are used for inspiration. What information should designs contain? Designs actually contain everything that is important for your design. These can be finished sizes such as specific lengths and dimensions or types of finishes and stitching. But also colours, materials, prints and branding.
A design is often images supplemented with text containing descriptions, these are called technical drawings.
By having the working method of your own design developed, this gives a lot of freedom. In principle, you only have to take into account technical limitations and your budget of course. Due to the great freedom of possibilities, you can also add a lot to the design of your garment.
As far as additions are concerned, this does not differ in possibilities from what Predesigned offers. You can make the same choices in everything you want to add to your garment. This mainly concerns branding and trims. Think of trims as special straps, emblems or badges, in fact everything you want to add to the garment. Because Predesigned does not have stock items and always only starts producing after you have placed the order, many of your wishes can be added in the production process of the clothing.
The biggest advantage is therefore in the freedom of your design, where Predesigned works with standards in order to have a perfect mix between efficiency and possibilities.
As already indicated, Predesigned offers many choices. It is the best solution between choosing a standard stock item and developing your own design.
With a standard stock item, such as a white label or blanc garment, you choose to make an existing garment into your own brand, with your own branding and prints or embroidery. In this case, you have no choice at all to make the garment as desired and you are stuck with the colours and fabrics as they are. Often you can only replace the existing brand label with your own branding and you can apply limited prints and embroidery. This is a cheap way to start your clothing brand and with a small budget, which can certainly be a good way.
As described on this page, a custom clothing design production is the complete opposite of a standard stock garment. With a custom clothing design, you make all the choices of your garment yourself and it is completely your own design with many more possibilities.
Predesigned is between a white label garment and a completely custom design. Predesigned only offers less choice in fit and model than completely your own design. Of course you can compose your clothing model within the choices of Predesigned, in addition you have a choice in almost all colors, fabrics and further additions. Also, the clothing production only starts when you place the order. That is of course also much more "Sustainable" than stock items that have been produced on a large scale but of which it is not certain whether they will sell.
